Smokey Hickory Cheese Sauce

A savory melty cheese sauce with hickory tomato-based bbq sauce. Great as a dip for fries, onion rings, breaded vegetables or fondue sauce. Try as a burger and hot dog topper, spread for sandwiches, to coat wings or base for mac & cheese.

Ingredients

Recipe Yield: 80 1/4-cup servings

Amount Item
1  gal Hot water (180°-190°F)
  (Add 1-2 cups less water for thicker sauce)
1  bag Foothill Farms® Cheese Sauce Mix #088T (or 2 bags #094T)
2 1/4  c Hickory BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing container pour in hot water. Add contents of Cheese Sauce Mix into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is dissolved and sauce is smooth.
  2. Add bbq sauce to cheese sauce. Whisk to combine. Reserve hot (never boil).
