Manhattan Clam Chowder

This flavorful clam chowder is made with tomatoes, clams and chopped vegetables.

1  bag Foothill Farms Traditional Tomato Sauce Mix (#089T)
2 1/2  qts Hot water (180°-190°F)
1  cup Diced onion
1  cup Diced celery
1  cup Diced carrots
4  cups Canned diced potatoes, drained
1  cup Canned diced tomatoes
2  cups Canned chopped clams, drained


  1. Pour water into mixing bowl. Pour Traditional Tomato Sauce Mix (16oz) into water while vigorously stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is completely dissolved. Set aside.
  2. In a pot, sauté onions, celery and carrot until they become soft and translucent, about 4-6 minutes.
  3. Add prepared sauce, tomatoes, potatoes and clams.
  4. Stir and bring to serving temp (145F). Never boil.
