Mornay Sauce

Béchamel sauce with shredded or grated Parmesan cheese added. Serve with seafood or over vegetables

Amount Item
1/2  gal Hot water (180°-190°F)
1  bag Foothill Farms® White Sauce Instant Mix (#0701)
2  c Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2  tsp Nutmeg
4  Tbsp Butter


  1. Pour hot water into mixing bowl. Pour White Sauce into water while stirring with a wire whisk. Continue stirring until mix is completely dissolved and smooth in body.
  2. Mix in well cheese and nutmeg. Cut unsalted butter into small chunks and fold into sauce until completely melted.
