Create thick, zesty, meatless spaghetti or pizza sauce in minutes with a packet of our rich, real Italian-flavored Foothill Farms Spaghetti/Pizza Sauce Seasoning Mix and tomato paste. With its fresh-made classic taste, serve over any pasta or use as a dip for breads. Customize with your own extra touches like bell peppers, onions or mushrooms. Make spicy by adding crushed red pepper flakes. It has 30% less sodium than our previous #V415-AM190 Spaghetti/Pizza Sauce Mix.
Ingredients
Sugar, Salt (Includes Sea Salt), Dehydrated Onion, Dehydrated Garlic, Corn Starch, Citric Acid, Spices, Guar Gum, Parsley, Xanthan Gum, Contains 2% Or Less Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking).
Directions For Use
Spaghetti Sauce (Convection Oven): Combine 1 ½ gal water, one #10 can tomato paste and contents of seasoning package (11.25 oz) in full-size steam table pan. Blend thoroughly. Cover with lid (do not use foil) and bake in 400ºF convection oven for 30-45 minutes; or until product reaches 180ºF. Stir half way through. Serve ½ cup sauce over 1 cup cooked pasta.
Spaghetti Sauce (Conventional Oven): Follow directions above. Adjust oven time as needed. Bake in 400ºF oven for approximately 45-60 minutes; or until product reaches 180ºF. Stir half way through. Serve ½ cup sauce over 1 cup cooked pasta.
Spaghetti Sauce (Stovetop): In large stockpot, combine 1 ½ gal water, one #10 can tomato paste and contents of seasoning package (11.25 oz). Mix thoroughly. Bring to a light boil stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Product should reach a 180ºF. Serve ½ cup sauce over 1 cup cooked pasta.
Yield: 2 ½ gal
Option: Spaghetti Sauce can also be made with one #10 can crushed tomatoes or tomato puree and contents of seasoning package.
